Handmade Berber camels made by the village women of Tissardmine - a town of just 15 mud houses on the desert near the Algerian border. The camels are made from scraps of wire and fabric. These families have virtually no possessions and sell little dolls and camels they make from scraps they find. The children also sell fossils they find in the desert and Berber necklaces.  I was invited into one of their houses and there was nothing but a piece of foam to sleep on, a battery run clock on the wall and some simple cooking equipment. The sales of these simple toys help the family.
