Just 2 left. Every bag completely unique and made from wonderful Moroccan antique and vintage carpets and flat weaves. These textiles are art pieces and so once the carpet has become too old to repair they are recycled Into beautiful bags and their beauty and the skill of the artisans lives on. 

I came across a shop in the Marrakech souks that sold these gorgeous cross-body or shoulder bags that can also be used as a clutch or handbag. 27cm x 18cm

What I fell in love with was the old vintage rugs used to create these bags - they were aged and imperfect...absolutely beautiful colours, some muted, some worn, some embroidered. It was so hard to choose.

This one is a combo of the tufted rug around the edges in black, white and muted pink and yellow checks wi5 a beautiful flat wave in muted pink and a gorgeous muted green embroidered with ancient traditional Berber symbols which make it very unique. These symbols are seen as tattoos and carpet designs and are important fertility and protection symbols.

A long anodised metal chain is attached in either side to wear the bag across body or from the shoulder. It hangs just above hip level. The chain can also be detached to carry the bag as a clutch. The total length of the chain is 110cms + rings.

Two magnetised clasps attach the top flap to the bag body.

Inside the bag is lined with a beautiful black suede.A heavy zip makes sure the bag is well made and will last for years. There is also an inside zipped pocket.
