In the 1950s - 1970s Peruvians forced by poverty and politics robbed the pre-Columbian graves (1100-1400 CE) along the Peruvian coast. These textiles taken from the graves have been fashioned into FUNERARY DOLLS. I bought this at an Adelaide market at a stall selling textiles collected from a woman whose estate was being sold.
